A strategic new business professional with more than 15 years expertise in new business development, branding, live event logistics and sales & marketing. Johnny brings to Lumiere Healing Centers a track record of building relationships and forging connections as an executive with the MyLife Recovery Centers and StartFresh Recovery.
Some of Johnny’s most successful projects and brands have included multiple mobile tour campaigns for ABC Television and the Country Music Awards, General Mills, Mazda, Medtronic as well as logistics coordination and sponsorship fulfillment for several Super Bowls, NCAA Final Four, Ironman Triathlon World Championships and Jim Rome World Tours. He is a graduate of Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado and has completed 10 Ironman Triathlons and 17 marathons.
Cortney Huber is from Miamisburg, Ohio. She has a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Wright State University and is currently a Behavioral Health Technician Manager at Lumiere Healing Centers.
Following her graduation, Cortney entered the Healthcare industry in search of her first “big girl” job. She has always been driven to make a positive change in the lives of others. Behavioral health is both Cortney’s specialty and her passion. It is her strongest belief that changing someone’s outlook on life for the better is a fulfilling experience. As a Behavioral Health Technician Manager, Cortney believes that helping others to see their fullest possible potential is a reward in and of itself.
Cortney began her career at Lumiere Healing Centers in the summer of 2018, and she knew right away that this specialized field was where she was meant to be. The improvements that she sees in both the physical and mental health of her clients inspire her with confidence and pride every day. Her goal is to give Lumiere her best so that her team and the company can continue to change lives. She also hopes to do as much as possible to ensure that the Lumiere team reaches all of its goals.

Shawna Storey is from Cincinnati, Ohio. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Xavier University and a Masters of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northern Kentucky University. Shawna is also a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) with certification in the Thinking for a Change program. Since a young age, Shawna has always had a desire to help people. And, after years of experience building her skill set and certifications, her passions molded a distinguished career in doing just that.
Following her graduation from Xavier in 2009, Shawna began her work in the Healthcare industry as a volunteer through the Americorps VISTA Program in Jacksonville, Florida. During her time there, she worked as a Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Case Manager. Then, as she worked toward her Master’s degree, Shawna returned to Cincinnati and became a Mental Health Community Case Manager at a highly reputable nonprofit organization. Since the beginning, her career focused on the assessment, treatment, and reintegration for both at-risk adults and children back into society. Eventually, her hard work and dedication to helping others led her to Lumiere Healing Centers.
Shawna began her career at Lumiere Healing Centers as a primary therapist in August of 2018. Since then, she has worked with clients whom she describes as “some of the bravest and most courageous individuals in recovery that I have ever encountered.” Like the rest of her peers at Lumiere, Shawna truly cares about her clients and helps each of them to live the best possible life in recovery. Her goal is to continue her growth as a professional to become the best counselor that she can be. She also hopes to continue upholding the dedication to excellence that makes Lumiere a beacon of hope for the community.
Johnathan Burkart is from Hamilton, Ohio. As a 2002 graduate of Miami University, he holds an Associate’s degree in Business Administration and Management. He furthered his education at Franklin University, where his hard work earned him both a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Accounting and Management.
His distinguished career in the Healthcare industry began in July of 2004 when he became a trained Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and ambulance driver. In addition to being an EMT, Johnathan is also a state-tested nursing aid (STNA) and a certified firefighter in the state of Ohio. His passion for saving lives and providing excellent patient care led him to build his career in a hospital setting. For the next 12 years, Johnathon established himself as a great leader in the form of several roles ranging from Team Leader and Staffing Coordinator to Operations Manager at one of the best children’s hospitals in the country. Today, he holds the proud title of Director of Business Operations at Lumiere Healing Centers.
Johnathan secured his position with Lumiere in March of 2018. He is responsible for executing, managing and evaluating Lumiere’s operations, processes and procedures per industry standards. In other words, Johnathon works to improve and standardize all aspects of the company’s operations. His most memorable experience as the Director of Business Operations at Lumiere Healing Centers is applying for and receiving the approval to accept clients with Medicaid insurance, thus allowing Lumiere to extend its reach to more people in need.
As the Director of Business Operations, Johnathan hopes to continue Lumiere’s consistent trend of providing the highest quality of care while also meeting the individual needs of each client. His ultimate goal is to spread awareness about substance use disorder and to increase access to treatment.
Paul Sandhu, born in India, came to America with his family at a young age. He spent many of his formative years in New York, where he attended the Academy of Aeronautics and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Since 2014, he has had the distinct pleasure of assisting in building positive experiences for patients in recovery.
Before becoming the owner and CEO of Lumiere Healing Centers and its subsidiaries, Paul dedicated much of his life to aeronautics. His legendary career in this field spans more than 36 years! The aeronautics industry allowed Paul to build a broad skill set based in diligence, initiative, and leadership— skills that would prove necessary and lucrative for his role in the field of substance use disorder treatment.
Paul believes that addiction and mental health treatment— much like aeronautics— requires professional care, specialized expertise, persistence and teamwork to yield any positive advancements and long-term success. As the owner and CEO of Lumiere Healing Centers, Paul has made it his mission to provide only the best possible standards of care to those in treatment for substance use disorder and dual diagnosis. His collective 30 years of managerial experience and executive leadership have lent to his dedication to excellence in this specialized niche of the healthcare industry.
